All About Me
My name is Kelly Pietrzyk (Paycheck). I have been making lampwork
glass beads now for about 4 years. I started out making polymer clay beads
to sell on E-bay and noticed there was a category called lampwork so I
checked it out and had to learn how they made those beautiful glass beads!
My husband sighed me up for a class for my birthday and that was the
start of my love affair with glass!

After my first basic class I was hooked! I tried to get into making the beads
for jewelry but what I really loved to make was the sculpture beads. I think
that making clay beads first really helped me in the making of glass
sculpture. People have told me that my beads sometimes look like clay and
I consider that a great compliment because that is just how I try
to make my beads and I follow pretty much the same steps to make them
as I did the clay. The only problem is, you can't touch it! Well, you could,
but it would really hurt!
This is my clay Angel set. One of my
favorites.

Now a little bit about me...I live in New
York. Yep, in snow country! Sometimes it
feels like summer's never gonna come!
I live with my husband Rich and my son
Jake (19). My daughter is married (23)
and I'm looking forward to being a young
(45) Grandma sometime in the near
future! I gotta keep praying!
I love my animals!
I have a Bunny ( Tobie) and a Quaker
Parrot (Samson).  Recently we had to
put our Beagle Holly down, which is
something that still makes me cry. May
12th was a very sad day for us.
We love you Holly!

We put a deposit down on a West
Highland White Terrier! She was just
born on Tuesday- so we will be getting
her in eight weeks! I am so excited!
Her name will be Josie!
I am a Born Again Christian and  Jesus never ceases to amaze me!  My
family and I go to an amazing church.  Our Pastor is an awesome
preacher!  Here's a link- check it out
